He was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1954 and graduated from a prefectural high school. After that, he attended university and graduate school at the formerly known Tokyo University of Education in Tokyo (now Tsukuba University), and majored in Forest Products Chemistry. He had worked in the patent industry in Tokyo since 1973. After that, he passed the examination of patent attorney in 1976, and returned to Osaka. In 1978, KIYOHARA & CO., PATENT ATTORNEYS was established in Kita Ward, Osaka City. Since then, around 40 years of dedication to patent affairs has passed.
Since its establishment, he has strived to protect intellectual property of small and medium enterprises and venture companies. Beside this, he has held lectures on intellectual property at university, contributing to the cultivation of intellectual property talent, and also continues to be committed to protecting intellectual property and technology transfer of universities. In addition, he is making efforts to respond to client's requests in a wide range of fields such as intellectual property lawsuits and foreign intellectual property.

I have engaged in technology development and invention protection activities of companies and universities. For many years, I have not only carried out activities such as the acquisition of domestic and foreign rights in intellectual property rights, but also the preservation of acquired rights, and the transfer of rights.
One of our "ideas (themes)" is "idea creation and training for research and development". By training engineers and researchers to find inventions from wide aspects in a variety of situations, our own creative power and development capabilities will be enriched. We are helping to greatly contribute to the development of companies and universities through intellectual property.
